Relax and enjoy a romantic weekend on a
55 acre horse ranch minutes from K.C.
but very secluded and private. Jacuzzi
tubs in two rooms. Fish in our pond or enjoy a walk
around the farm where wildlife abounds.
Excellent bird watching so bring
binoculars and spot the great blue
herons that nest in rookery on creek.
Bring your own horses and trail ride at
nearby Smithville Lake or ride in the
60' x 200' covered arena. Overnight
stabling for those traveling with
horses. Enjoy a wonderful full country
breakfast served in the sunroom of the
main log house. Connie only uses the
freshest farm produce she raises in her
garden beds or gets nearby. (She is a
guest instructor at the K.C. Culinary
Center.) If history is your thing, then
Kearney is the town to visit as it is
the home town of the infamous Jesse
James whose home is open to visitors
year round. Also the beautiful Watkins
Mill and State Park are within a few
miles where you can bike ride or walk
their well groomed trails. The Greens
know hospitality and love to show the
'western style' of living at its best,
decorated with authentic native american
art and Bill's many hand forged items
which are used and displayed throughout
their home. |
